Tipo-morfologi Clan Jetties sebagai Kawasan Heritage Georgetown

Clan Jetties is an area of Georgetown that is designated as cultural heritage. This area contains many historical values about the entry of ethnic Chinese communities in Malaysia through the pier, to form a settlement with certain characteristics. This settlement is divided into the family name of the occupants of the house. As a conserved area, the Jetties Clan is undergoing changes in its existing social and cultural conditions which are influenced by the potential of the George Town area itself. Therefore, it is important to know how the potential of the area can affect the existing conditions of the Clan Jetties related to social and culture in its preservation. The study of the potential of this area was identified and grouped based on typo-morphological analysis of the region based on Kevin Lynch's theory. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with type of case studies with primary data sources through observation and secondary through previous studies. The results of the analysis in the form of types of city element groups that affect the existing conditions of the Jetties Clan. This research is expected to be able to contribute to the study of the preservation of the area and its application properly.
