Indonesia, as an agrarian country, heavily relies on the agricultural sector, where an efficient irrigation system plays a vital role in supporting productivity. This study aims to design an irrigation network in Kampung Lereh, Kaureh District, Jayapura Regency, which has vast agricultural land potential that remains underutilized due to limited water access. The methodology involved collecting hydrological, topographical, and climatological data through field surveys, followed by analysis using hydrological and hydraulic engineering approaches. The results indicate that the maximum irrigation water requirement is 1.814 liters/second/hectare. The main structure designed is a weir with a rounded crest type, 30 meters in crest length, and a height ranging from 5 to 7 meters. The intake structure consists of two openings, each 2 meters wide. Additionally, the design includes an energy dissipator structure and uplift force analysis to ensure structural stability. This comprehensive irrigation system planning is expected to enhance water distribution efficiency and support sustainable agricultural development in the Lereh area.
